Coal Miner's Memorial & MuseumCoal mining is a way of life in the Allegheny region. The 1889 Park hosts vintage coal hauling cars, and a museum with various displays for visitors. There is also a memorial tree park dedicated to local coal miner's and their families. Disaster's Edge Environmental Education Resource & Development CenterThe Cambria County Conservation District hosts a variety of programs at "Disaster's Edge" with the goal of educating youth and the general population. The center provides programming on local ecosystems, wildlife, endangered species and plant life, watersheds, wetlands, pest management, tracking and animal identification, ecology, and agriculture.
